A blog (a contraction of web log) is a type of website or part of a website. Blogs are usually maintained by an individual or company with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video.

Blogs are often as main websites, by businesses, groups, clubs, political organisations, designers, artists and others.

Typical use is to inform members and other interested parties of promotions and activities. See below for some examples:

Twitter

twitterchicks

The 'SMS' of the Internet, with over 100 million users worldwide! Twitter offers a social networking and microblogging service, enabling its users to send and read other users' messages called tweets.

Messages have a maximum of 140 characters per 'tweet' hence 'microblogging'. It is this brevity which makes it probably the quickest, easiest, social medium to manage, even for those with little time to spare. Businesses can post immediate updates on special offers, news items etc. For example, one notable pub posts its guest beers, events etc on an almost daily basis!

If you are short of time, and want to use just one social medium, this is the one for you. We are happy to discuss this with you, as a solution integrated with your website, or with any of the other social media listed here.

'Broadcast Yourself'

Broadcast yourself and broadcast your business. YouTube can be utilised as a highly effective business tool. You can demonstrate your expertise, share knowledge, market your products and connect with potential customers via a channel reflecting your brand.

You can share presentations, video tutorials, interviews and videos demonstrating aspects of your business. If your business involves producing videos you can present examples of these. Other options include customer service videos, product demos and 3D walk-throughs, to name but a few!
